On Importance of Financial Wellbeing

“Financial wellbeing is about a sense of peace and comfort with your current place within life and society.”

What would financial wellbeing look like to you?

What would you be doing and having, how would you be feeling?

I love Ed Coambs use of the word “current” here. Wellbeing, peace, and comfort are often moment-to-moment experiences.

Excitement for the possible future can benefit us now, but if we get too caught up in how things will/could be, then we may forget to breathe and appreciate the here and now.

It’s not an easy balance, but I find it valuable to bring mindful awareness to exploration of these ideas.

Listen more about the topic via this week’s The Couples Financial Coach Podcast Episode #65 - How Attachment Styles Impact Financial Well Being.

What has your significant other done -- besides earning more or spending less -- that has helped you improve your sense of financial wellbeing?

For me, I recently got anxious and upset about an expense that ended up higher than expected.

When that happened, my fiancée did a brilliant job listening to my pain, not getting defensive, and making me feel that she understood where I was coming from.

Within moments, I had resolved my frustration.

To have that kind of resolution, your attachment style may be the key to understanding your needs.

That’s why Episode #65 of the The Equal Partners Podcast features a leading expert on how attachment style affects money within relationships -- Ed (Coambs)!
